You’re probably busy, so we’ll get right to it. This weekend we ask our donors and blog readers to help us. To protect our philosophy and share truth, we’ll never run ads. The only way these pages keep alive is solely by means of reader support. We survive on donations averaging about $15. Now is the time we ask. If everyone reading this right now gave $3, our fundraiser would be done within one day. Yep, that’s about the price of buying a website designer a coffee. We’re a small non-profit Catholic Apostolate with costs of a top website. Our office space is donated.  We keep expenses as low as we possibly can.  But internet and phone service, computers and servers, technical support and professional help, graphic artists and designers, and expenses to reach and to meet with men in the field all cost money.  Catholic Men Chicago Southland is something special. It is like a refuge or Grant Park, a temple for the mind where we can all go to think and learn about the challenges men face in the workplace and at home. After we founded CMCS in 2004, then launched the website in 2009, we could have made it a for-profit entity with advertising banners, but we decided to do something different. Commerce is fine. Advertising is not evil. But it doesn’t belong here. If CMCS is useful to you, take one minute to keep it online and ad-free another year in 2015.
Thank you.
